Given the Groupon rate of $128 vs standard $250 it could be rationalized. ![]() The restaurant was good but not great and the food didn't live up to the high price even with the $25 discount on the price fixed three course meal. The blinds/shades were very worn and didn't work properly when raised and lowered Maybe it was the "Groupon" room and hadn't been brought up to standard yet. The furniture in #6 was also worn and needed work. Don't know if the other rooms were similar or not but one we did look at (#8) didn't appear to be too bad and maybe had been recently refinished. The wood trim was in very bad shape from a visual standpoint. The place was unique but the experience was severely tempered by the very worn woodwork in our room (#6) and the fact the jacuzzi tub and hair dryer did not work. The Castle on the hill was anticipated to be an exciting unique experience based on the pictures in the Groupon advertisements we found.
